Armed Forces Comptroller Journal

The Armed Forces Comptroller journal was first published in 1956 and remains SDFM’s flagship publication. Articles are received from a variety of sources, including academia, government and the membership at large. SDFM’s editorial board and staff welcome ideas for article submissions. To submit a manuscript for consideration, please review the article submission template and guidelines.

If you are a member, please log into SDFM’s Engage Online Community to view current and past digital issues going back to 1956. Beginning with the Spring 2025 issue, the Armed Forces Comptroller (AFC) Journal will be available exclusively in digital format. Members will continue to enjoy full access to the Journal’s quarterly content, including opportunities to earn Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits, through our online platform.

We are currently evaluating the potential for a separate print subscription option. Should that become available, we will provide details to our community. Thank you for your continued readership and your commitment to advancing excellence in defense financial management.

For any questions, please reach out to our editor, Mike Monson at mike.monson@sdfm.org.
