SDFM is the membership community for individuals and organizations involved in the practice and support of the defense financial management field. Our members, both uniformed and civilian, come from the Department of Defense, all branches of the United States Armed Forces, the Fourth Estate, other governmental agencies as well as private sector organizations and academia.
Our membership is diverse, both in terms of experience and areas of functional expertise. We provide resources for those at the senior-most executive level to those just starting in the profession. Our members serve as organizational leaders, chief financial officers, comptrollers, budgeteers, accountants, auditors, financial administrators, risk managers, data analysts and decision scientists, advisory roles, students and many other roles.
