Sandhills Chapter Event

Out of Sight Wing Fling – We have our next Sandhills Chapter community volunteer event coordinated and ready for everyone to sign up to volunteer! For this volunteer event we’ll assist the Vision Resource Center (nonprofit organization). The Vision Resource Center enhances the lives of adults and children living in the Cape Fear Region who are visually impaired by advocating for their needs, identifying, and sharing information about the community recourses, providing education, skill development, and socialization opportunities. Proceeds raised from this community event will provide blind and visually impaired children the opportunity to attend summer camp, support the youth programming (currently the state of North Carolina does not assist until the age of 14) purchase assistive technology to help children and adults to live an independent life, and support independent living skill classes to help with day to day living.
