Speaker: Vice Admiral John B. “Brad” Skillman, Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Integration of Capabilities and Resources, N8, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations

Vice Adm. Brad Skillman, a native of Muncie, Indiana, and St. Paris, Ohio, is a distinguished naval officer with a Bachelor’s in Oceanography from the U.S. Naval Academy and a Master’s in Operational Oceanography from the Naval Postgraduate School. A surface warfare officer, Skillman has served extensively at sea, including commanding multiple ships and leading Amphibious Squadron 4.

Ashore, he held key roles in ship maintenance, warfare program analysis, and naval acquisition. He also served as the executive assistant to the assistant secretary of the Navy (Financial Management & Comptroller). As a flag officer, he held leadership roles including deputy commander at NATO’s Joint Warfare Centre and commander of Expeditionary Strike Group 2. His most recent role was Director of Programming Division OPNAV (N80).

Skillman’s decorations include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit, and various other service awards.
