Stacy Son

Ms. Stacy Son serves as Deputy Site Director for the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) in Columbus, Ohio. She assists in managing daily operations of nearly 1,900 accounting and finance professionals supporting the United States Air Force, Space Force, Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and Defense Agencies. She also oversees DFAS Limestone Operations and leads one of the Department of Defense’s largest contract pay operations, managing 297,000 active contracts and over $225 billion in annual disbursements.

Before entering the Senior Executive Service in 2022, Ms. Son was the Director of Accounting and Finance Operations at DFAS Columbus, overseeing nine operational mission areas and a budget exceeding $125 million. Her responsibilities included strategic leadership for site operations related to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Maintenance and Control, Departmental Reporting, and Customer Care.

She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Ohio University and a Master of Business Administration in Operations Management from The Ohio State University, where she was a Weidler Scholar. She serves as past chapter president and current president-elect of the Society of Defense Financial Management Buckeye Chapter.
