Jennifer L. Matney serves as the Budget Officer for DLA overseeing the budget and execution of $45 billion annually of working capital funds, O&M, and RDT&E providing joint global logistics support as a combat support agency. She began her position at DLA upon graduating from The Dwight D. Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy in June 2023. Previously, she served as Assistant for Revolving Funds, Deputy Assistant Secretary (Budget), Headquarters Department of the Air Force, where she was responsible for budgeting and execution of the annual $23 billion Air Force Working Capital Fund (AFWCF), ensuring the AF’s organic depot maintenance and supply chain meets warfighting-customer logistics and sustainment requirements.
She began her career in 1999 as a USAF logistics Palace Acquire Intern at Tinker AFB, Okla. During her twenty-five-plus-year career, she has served in numerous logistics, financial, and resource management positions within Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) and Air Staff. She has a Master’s degree in History, a Master’s degree in National Resource Strategy, and graduated from Air War College in 2008. She has one adult son. She can be found off-duty with friends, traveling, attending concerts, or enjoying a good book.
