Commander William Haywood

Commander Haywood is a 22-year U.S. Coast Guard veteran and currently serves as Travel Division Chief at the Coast Guard Pay & Personnel Center, where he oversees travel policy, management, and compensation for Coast Guard personnel supporting missions worldwide.

A career aviator, he served 15 years as a search and rescue helicopter pilot, instructor, and flight examiner, with operational tours in Texas, Alabama, New Jersey, and Washington, D.C. His leadership is grounded in operational experience and a commitment to enabling Coast Guard service members through efficient, mission-ready travel and personnel systems.
