Chris Zimmerman

Chris leads the global finance and accounting operations in support of NGA’s national intelligence missions. He is responsible for the agency’s financial reporting and financial statements audit and oversees the financial operations in St. Louis. Prior to his current role, he served 26 years as a U.S. Army Finance Officer with more than half of his career leading financial management support to intelligence and special operations. He is a Distinguished Member of the Finance Regiment and a recipient of the Knowlton Award for his contributions to the U.S. Army Military Intelligence Corps.

His education includes a B.A., Economics from Mansfield University; MBA from University of Alaska Anchorage; M.S., National Security Strategy from National War College, Washington, D.C.; and a Certificate of Accounting from the University of Virginia. He earned his Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) qualification in 2007 and more recently both the CGFM and PMP qualifications.

Chris and his wife, Corinne, reside in Stafford, VA and are the proud parents of U.S. Army First Lieutenants Eric Zimmerman, MI, and Nathan Zimmerman, FA.
