COL John W. Lee is the Acting Director, Financial Operations (J8) and Chief, Financial Officer (CFO), Defense Health Agency (DHA), Falls Church, Virginia. As Director of J8, he is responsible for managing DHA Budget Execution, Programming, Financial and Accounting, Audit, Facilities, Private Sector Care, and Cost Management Analysis with a $54 Billion hospital health system.
Colonel John W. Lee is a native of Maryland and graduated from Auburn University (War Eagle), Alabama with a Microbiology degree. His degrees include a Master of Strategic Studies, Army War College, Master of Business Administration from University of Texas, Texas, a Master of Healthcare Administration from Baylor University, Texas and Master a Master of Science from National Defense University, Washington, DC.
His professional and board-certified credentials are Certified Defense Financial Manager-Acquisition Specialty (CDFM-A), Defense Financial Management Certified Program-LV 3(DFMCP3), Project Management Professional (PMP), and Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).

Mr. Jamie Lindly is a Research Staff Member at the Institute for Defense Analyses (IDA) where his work focuses on military healthcare policy, resource/utilization analysis, and organizational design. Prior to coming to IDA, he served on active duty at the Defense Health Agency leading comprehensive analytic support functions and enterprise data processing activities for healthcare delivery to 9 million DoD beneficiaries including claims processing, utilization management, population health, and patient experience measurement.
Mr. Lindly has a M.S. in Operations Research from the Naval Postgraduate School and Bachelor of Business Administration from Eastern Washington University.

Daniel Lee Director, Military Personnel and Construction, Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (Comptroller)
Mr. Daniel E. Lee is the Director for Military Personnel and Construction in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (Comptroller), where he is a member of the Senior Executive Service responsible for all fiscal matters regarding the Department’s military pay and benefits, including health care for the active and reserve members of the U.S. Armed forces, military retirees, and their families. In addition, he is responsible for fiscal matters pertaining to physical infrastructure on military installations and global basing matters, including maintenance of existing facilities, construction of new facilities, privatization and operation of DoD housing, energy conservation investments, and base realignments and closures.
Prior to assuming this job, Mr. Lee was the Associate Director for Military Personnel and Health Care in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (Comptroller), where he was responsible for all budgetary and execution matters of almost $250 billion in annual Military Personnel and the DoD Unified Medical Budget.
Mr. Lee is a retired United States Air Force Colonel with almost 25 years of active-duty service. His assignments included tours as the Air Force Medical Service Comptroller for the United States Air Force Surgeon General; Chief of Staff for the Defense Health Agency; and O-6 level command at the 36th Medical Group, Andersen Air Force Base, Guam. Throughout his military career, Mr. Lee held various positions at the clinic, hospital, Air Force Major Command, Headquarters Air Force, and Office of the Secretary of Defense levels.
Mr. Lee earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science and a Master in Business Administration from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He also holds a Master of Military Operational Art and Studies degree, a Master of Strategic Studies degree from Air University, Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama, and a Graduate Certificate in Organizational Management from The George Washington University, District of Columbia. Finally, Mr. Lee maintains a Level-3 Defense Financial Management Certification. Mr. Lee is married to Gail Lee of Mount Sinai, New York, and has two children (Jason and Rebecca)
