Over the past two budget cycles, the Department of the Navy has modernized its program and budget process under the leadership of the Secretariat Comptroller and Resources Department (SCRD). You’ll hear directly from the team designing and implementing this updated approach as they share practical lessons that you can apply within your own organization.
You’ll explore how to maximize the impact of data-driven insights across the PPBE process using tools from the ADVANA ecosystem—such as Qlik and Databricks—to link, clean, and categorize data. By adopting a top-down approach and aligning outputs with strategic goals, you’ll see how SCRD continues to improve results through targeted process changes. Through perspectives from SCRD staff and consultants with Navy and Marine Corps experience, you’ll also learn how to move from stakeholder initiative to planning, management, and execution.
