* The PPBE Reform Commission published their final report in March 2024 identifying and recommending improvements to the current PPBE process. To understand the concerns, perceptions, and reaction to the final PPBE Commission report, Decision Lens partnered with the Society of Defense Financial Managers (SDFM) to conduct a survey assessing the response of people who work in PPBE. The survey was conducted in May and June 2024 and presents a picture of a community excited about the possibility of reform but aware of the challenges. In total, we had 196 respondents from across the Department of Defense.
